January 1, 2019, early morning, a phone call came from my mother's nursing home facility telling me that she had just passed away. That is not the way I wanted the year 2019 to begin. However, from the moment that Mr. Miller came to pick up my mother's body to the graveside service on January 6, 2019, I could not have asked for more understanding, kind, and compassionate people at Bennetts. I want to commend the staff of Bennett Funeral Services for handling the funeral of my mother, Mary S. Roseman, in such a kind, caring, and compassionate manner. My husband and I had prearranged the funeral with Bennetts in August 2018 and from that time on, to the day of the burial, January 6, 2019, I couldn't have asked for better service and professionalism. Her service was a simple graveside service but was eloquently handled by their staff--from handling all paperwork, the detailed arrangements, to the beautiful music they provided. My mother Angela Phillips insisted before she passed that "Bennett's" handle her funeral. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision to go with Bennett Funeral Service. Never would I have thought that I'd begin this year planning a funeral for my 20 year old son. Never would I have thought that I'd be here to plan EITHER of my sons' funerals. I am a nurse and worked at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. When we had a death, I would call Robbiein the middle of the night and I was always amazed by how he sounded like he was wide awake and waiting for my call. I also watched him handle the body (even when he did not know I was watching) and he treated the body as if it was his family member. He was so respectful of the families and staff. That is the reason I chose him to handle my husband's funeral even though I live in Statesville, NC. I am humbly grateful to him and his staff for their kindness and support. There are not enough words to express our thanks and gratitude to Robbie and his staff for the job they did during the unexpected death of our husband, father and grandfather. Robbie came to our house to help plan all the details and answer our questions—we never had to travel to the funeral home. When we didn’t understand, have a question or thought of doing something out of the ordinary, he took time to explain and always answered with “we can do whatever you want”. He was very compassionate and patience with us. Rhonda did a great job on the tribute video. Mr. Blackburn was outstanding. We first met him around 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and by the end of the night, he knew all eleven of us by our first name. His help in organizing Roger’s final ride on the bed of his pickup truck will be a treasured memory for each of us forever. Thank you Mr. Blackburn. Robbie will save you at least double the money when you are preparing for your loved one’s memorial service. Yes, I said a savings of double what the other funeral services offer. You will not be sorry. Your loved one will be taken care of as if they were a part of Robbie’s family. You will not have to step foot in a funeral home. Robbie comes to your family. When my mother passed away she was at Brian Center in Viewmont. As soon as your loved one passes away you must make a decision on who to pick up the body. Our family did not know who to choose. We asked another funeral service in Newton to come and get mother’s body. As soon as my wife and I got home from the nursing facility my pastor came to visit us. He gave us information on Robert F. Bennett Funeral Services. He assured us that the service was great and he would beat the other funeral services prices. My wife, Carol, called Robbie and we knew immediately that we wanted him to handle my mother’s funeral. Robbie called the other funeral service to inform them that he was coming to get my mother’s body. The rest is history. Robbie stepped in and made our experience as easy as possible. Robbie visited with us throughout the week on several occasions and each time that he did, you could since a REAL concern for our needs. Robbie filed all the paperwork that goes along with a death in a family including life insurance filing. Robbie is the true professional that you would want for your loved one. My family didn’t have to worry about anything. Robbie had all the avenues covered. If we ever had a question about something, all we had to do was call, and Robbie or Rhonda was there to help. I can not begin to thank Robert F. Bennett Funeral Services for the kind and loving care they gave to me and my family during the death and burial of my beloved father this week. I have never seen such compassionate and loving people in a business like I saw in this business. He was kind, caring and supportive, not only while taking care of Mom’s arrangements but also taking care of us. Rhonda’s help with the paperwork took all the stress away from us while we were mourning. The cost for all this wonderful service was truly reasonable. Not having gone thru anything like this, I didn't know what to expect. The Bennetts far exceeded anything I could've ever imagined. My dad introduced me to Robbie last year and told me that when the time came that he wanted Robbie to handle his arrangements. Little did I know, my father couldn't have picked a better person. Robbie called shortly after my dad's passing and came right over. He greeted me with a smile and a hug and offered suggestions and options. His wife, Rhonda, worked diligently to prepare a beautiful DVD of my dad and also worked in the background so that everything else went smoothly. She was very responsive to every question and obviously is a hard worker. I never felt pressured in any of the decisions that had to be made. Everyone was very kind and thoughtful. All of my family has expressed their deep appreciation for Robbie and his staff. We all felt as if they went to extra lengths to make you feel that they truly love you and care about you. I can't imagine any other funeral director that could be any better. I feel as if I've known them all my life and have come to call them "good friends".

During one of the worst moments of our lives, the thought of dealing with funeral arrangements on top of feeling hopeless was to over whelming. We were referred to Bennett's Funeral home. We had no money and my husband had no life insurance. Robert and Rhonda Bennett are two of the most compassionate people we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Most funeral homes play on the "grieving widow" syndrome. I was relieved when I found out that Robert would come to my home. EVERYTHING was handled out of the comfort of my home. I never had to set one single foot in the funeral home itself. My husband had to be cremated due to our financial situation. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett meet our needs , and the service at the church ( with the preacher they had recommended) was absolutely beautiful! They were a real comfort in dire times and was able to meet our needs with dignity, and our funeral costs were well within our budget. We thank GOD that there are honest , caring people like Robert and Rhonda Bennett, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for explaining everything they offered, and staying within our budget. It made our tragic ordeal so much easier. Thank you Robbie and Rhonda Bennett. We will NEVER use another funeral home. As we began the journey toward my grandmothers final days we knew there was a decision to make in what funeral home would handle her final arrangements. In my life I have had the priviledge to work with many funeral homes and directors but Robbie Bennett from the first day I met him always seemed to be one who stood out...he always went out of his way to show he cared and that you were more than just someone that was just another acquaintance. After my grandmother passed we called Robbie and in everything he did his passion and commitment to his job was evident. He was so respectful of her body in everyway from picking her up to take her to the funeral home and not covering her face up in front of me which was my biggest fear to helping us girls get her hair and makeup just right for her viewing because he knew how meticulous we were and how much it meant to us for her to look just perfect. He stood beside us and guided us every step of the way...lending a hug or piece of advice he knew just what to say! During the receiving he frequently checked on us and provided tissues for our tears and water for our dry throats. At the graveside he offered support and encouraging words to all of us to help us get through the day. The special touches that his wife Rhonda added to things like the registry book just gave it the "I love you touch". He even took time out of his busy schedule to call and check on us a few days AND a few weeks later. Now usually only friends show that kind of concern so I guess that in itself tells you what kind of Funeral director Robbie is. I wouldn't trust the ones I love the most too anyone else. I remember when Robbie told me he wanted me to see him in any store and I wanting to greet him with a big smile on my face -not run away from him. Well, that is so true. Since the passing of my loved one on Feb.2, 2013, I have not ran across you yet, but it will be pleasant seeing both of you again because you are two angels brought to earth from up above to comfort the grieving and certainly taking care of all funeral services -and beyond- much beyond. On July 30, 2013, my beloved Mother passed into eternity. She was surrounded in a hospital room by many family members who loved her dearly. My Uncle Ken was present. He recommended Robbie Bennett to us to take care of our Mother. From the first call, I could sense the deep compassion and genuine empathy. The Bennet's have gone beyond the call of duty to accommodate our desires for our loved one and for the emotional well being of the family. All needed business contacts were made in the comfort of our homes. We were gently guided through the process and given every opportunity to make all the choices we desired. In the days that followed, Robbie kept in touch to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. His lovely wife, Rhonda, treated us with kindness and compassions. I am deeply appreciative of the beautiful memories I will have of my Mother's beautiful appearance, the flowers for her spray, the memorial quilt, and the accomodations at the graveside service.
